Qigong/Tai-Chi & Health - Beginners Class (M2)
 

 

At any age you can learn and become proficient in Tai-Chi, an ancient form of meditative exercise originated in China.  Tai-Chi is recognized by slow and energizing movements practiced by millions of people around the world to improve and maintain good health. Classes begin with Qigong to improve the body’s energy flow by using the mind to guide our thinking as we move from one point to the next point. Gentle breathing is always at the core of Qigong and Tai-Chi bringing relaxation as you move from one movement to the next.  Experience this powerful exercise, and improve balance, overall bodily wellness with an uplifting feeling of spiritual joy.

Seniors-Get Fit and Have Fun Too! (M2)
 

 

Get fit, have fun, make friends all while moving to the music!  The workout combines aerobic movement, strength training, flexibility and balance work all in 1 great class.  We will use hand weights and elastic bands for resistance training.  We have lots of chairs for seating or standing support.  Each class ends with a cool down stretch, balance and relaxation.  Become your own “best motivator “- this is an exercise class that you will enjoy and make you fit and fabulous!  Please bring your own water bottle to class.

Enjoy a balanced yoga practice which benefits your body, mind and spirit. Stretch and tone muscles, release chronic tension, de-stress and refresh. Each class begins with warm-up movements to prepare you for the yoga postures.  Each pose flows smoothly into the next, Emphasis is placed on standing poses and strengthening and stretching the legs, back, and shoulders. Each class ends with a final stretch and relaxation. Benefits of this practice include improved muscle tone, increased circulation, better concentration, and deeper relaxation. Please bring your own water bottle and yoga mat to class.

Join us for a program designed for the active adult, the true beginner, people who are not used to exercising or those whom may be limited physically.  Zumba Gold brings the intensity and excitement of Latin dancing and international Latin inspired rhythms.  It’s a dance-fitness class that feels friendly, and most of all, Fun!  We modify the moves and pacing to suit the needs of everyone in the class.  Easy to follow calorie burning dance fitness party that achieves the perfect balance of core workout, full body cardio, and strength training.  Improve mobility, posture, and coordination.  There is no right or wrong way to Zumba. Please bring your own water bottle to class.

This class is designed to improve the skills and knowledge learned in the Beginners Class for continued health and quality of life.  The 24 Forms in Tai-Chi provide an effective exercise boosting the body’s energy while enhancing the mind and inner spirit. Classes will also cover the meditative and gentle form of the Sun Style 73, a unique Qigong form especially choreographed to address everyone and all ages. It has been proven that Tai-Chi can energize and heal body, mind and spirit.
