Many countries enjoy a thriving steakhouse tradition. In France, homey bistro-style dishes are paired with lovely French wines in a warm, cozy atmosphere. In this workshop, hanger steak, a very beefy, very juicy, tender cut of meat is served with crispy fries for the ultimate European-style steakhouse experience. ARGENTINIAN STEAKHOUSE
 

Argentina is home of the fabled Gauchos - those rough and tough cowboys who tend to their cattle on the wide rolling plains of the Pampas. There, they barbecue huge amounts of meat over live fire with traditional accompaniments including the not-to-be-missed national condiment - Chimichurri Sauce. In an Argentine Steakhouse, this rustic, outdoor barbecue or asado (literally translated "roast") has been brought indoors for all to enjoy. In our beefy workshop, we?ll recreate the magic of an Argentine Steakhouse with all the passion and intensity of the tango.

There was an interesting discussion at HomeChef,  a while back regarding the difference, if any, between pan frying and sautéing.  The two techniques are similar in that they are both dry heat cooking methods in which foods are cooked over direct heat.  The differences between the two are subtle, but it is worth making the distinction, just so there is no confusion, especially when reading a recipe.
