• Center, open, and throw your first cylinder

Week 2 – Building Form

• Throw bowls and cups

• Learn shape control and wall thickness

• Guided practice with instructor feedback

Trim bowl and cup 

Week 3 – Refining the Craft

• Learn to throw a small vase

• Explore form, proportion, and refinement

Week 4 – Finishing Touches

• Trim your vase and glaze all pieces

• Learn glazing techniques and firing prep

• Reflect on your creative journey and celebrate your progress!

• Review centering & pulling consistency

• Throw taller cylinders and balanced shapes

• Explore proportion, scale, and symmetry

Week 2 – Functional & Decorative Forms

• Throw lidded jars and large soup bowls

• Create matching sets and multi-piece compositions

• Refine throwing rhythm and precision

Week 3 – Artistic Development

• Explore altered forms, wide platters, teapots, and decorative rims

• Trim advanced shapes and add surface texture

• Strengthen creative design decisions

Week 4 – Glazing & Surface Design

• Layer glazes and apply advanced finishes

• Prep and present final work for firing
