The glazing process for ceramic classes 

When you make your piece you will be sent home with it. You can bring a small box for your creation or we will send you back with a small plate to carry your piece on. We do not guarantee boxes will be available. If you leave your piece with us we will paint your piece and fire it for you. It will be ready for pick up three weeks after you leave it with us. We will NOT call you to let you know when it’s done. It will be done after three weeks and you can stop by during studio hours for pick up

Get ready to dive into the wildly enjoyable world of wheel-throwing pottery!

This session is perfect for beginners itching to unleash their inner artist. You'll learn the nitty-gritty of clay preparation, centering it on the wheel, tool preparation and the basics of making a small bowl!  No experience? No problem! Everyone's invited to join the pottery party!

This class includes all the tools and instruction needed to make a small bowl. It does not include a glazed and fired piece. This class is meant to teach you a new skill and provides instruction and the tools to do as such. By the end of the session you MIGHT have a piece that is considered Greenware. Which means you cannot eat out of this piece and it will be fragile. You can take pieces home the same day if you make one and it can be a small decorative piece for memories sake. In order to make your pieces food-safe and durable, you can register for a second session, called "Paint Your Own Pottery". In this class you will learn about the kiln process, glazes, and how to customize the color and design of your pieces. The "Paint Your Own Pottery" session can be scheduled anytime after 3 days of this class.

• Classes begin promptly 10 minutes after the scheduled time.
• Late arrivals: 30+ minutes late will not be admitted. A $15 reschedule fee per ticket applies if you need to transfer.
• Please respect the end time — staying past your session may result in a $50 per person, per hour late fee.

🪄 About the Class

• Public group class: This is not a private session. Seating together is not guaranteed, especially if arriving late. For one-on-one instruction, ask about private lessons.

This handbuilding class is perfect for couples who want to create something special together. Get ready to dive into the wildly enjoyable world of wheel-throwing pottery!

This session is perfect for beginners itching to unleash their inner artist. You'll learn the nitty-gritty of clay preparation, centering it on the wheel, tool preparation and the basics of making a small bowl!  No experience? No problem! Everyone's invited to join the pottery party!

This class includes all the tools and instruction needed to make a small bowl. It does not include a glazed and fired piece. This class is meant to teach you a new skill and provides instruction and the tools to do as such. By the end of the session you MIGHT have a piece that is considered Greenware. Which means you cannot eat out of this piece and it will be fragile. You can take pieces home the same day if you make one and it can be a small decorative piece for memories sake. In order to make your pieces food-safe and durable, you can register for a second session, called "Paint Your Own Pottery". In this class you will learn about the kiln process, glazes, and how to customize the color and design of your pieces. The "Paint Your Own Pottery" session can be scheduled anytime after 3 days of this class. 

This class does not guarantee you will leave with a piece. We will make every effort to ensure that you leave with a piece, but it is not guaranteed. All customers will be told to take their pieces home. We will send you home with a paper plate and a paper bag if available We do not provided boxes. Welcome to Cup Creations: Wheel Throwing for Beginners! This exciting and hands-on class is designed for those who are new to pottery and eager to learn the basics of wheel throwing. In this course, you'll master the essential techniques for creating a basic cylinder, which is the foundation for making beautiful cups and mugs. Our skilled instructors will guide you through each step, from centering your clay to shaping and perfecting your cylinder. By the end of the class, you'll have the skills and confidence to start crafting your own unique pottery pieces. Join us and start your journey into the world of pottery! This class is to make a small greenware cylinder/ cup. It will not be food safe. Glaze and firing is not included. This class is meant to teach a new skill. Thank you. 

IMPORTANT INFORMATION 

1. Our Wheel Throwing classes are very messy. Especially for newcomers. We highly suggest wearing clothes that you can get dirty. Or bring an oversize shirt to wear over the clothes you are currently wearing. We do provide cloth aprons as well as plastic disposable aprons, which are on sale for 1$ at check-in. We accept cash app, Zelle or cash.

2. If you would like to have your own bucket to wash your hands of clay. Please feel free to bring a small plastic container. Otherwise, we do have public wash bins and individual sinks with soap and water after using the public wash to remove the clay from your hands. Most people do not have an issue with this. However, please feel free to bring your own bucket if you do.

3. Apparently, Google maps has been leading people to the old location. Our new studio is right next to Bobijoa Korean Kitchen. And across the street from Chicago Tattoo.

The glazing process for ceramic classes 

When you make your piece you will be sent home with it. You can bring a small box for your creation or we will send you back with a small plate to carry your piece on. We do not guarantee boxes will be available. If you leave your piece with us we will paint your piece and fire it for you. It will be ready for pick up three weeks after you leave it with us. We will NOT call you to let you know when it’s done. It will be done after three weeks and you can stop by during studio hours for pick u

Lastly, we do not have coat racks. Everything you bring will have to either be hung on the back of your seat or place under your chair we will not provide tables for storage.

Get ready to dive into the wildly enjoyable world of wheel-throwing pottery!

This session is perfect for beginners itching to unleash their inner artist. You'll learn the nitty-gritty of clay preparation, centering it on the wheel, tool preparation and the basics of making a small bowl!  No experience? No problem! Everyone's invited to join the pottery party!

This class includes all the tools and instruction needed to make a small bowl. It does not include a glazed and fired piece. This class is meant to teach you a new skill and provides instruction and the tools to do as such. By the end of the session you MIGHT have a piece that is considered Greenware. Which means you cannot eat out of this piece and it will be fragile. You can take pieces home the same day if you make one and it can be a small decorative piece for memories sake. In order to make your pieces food-safe and durable, you can register for a second session, called "Paint Your Own Pottery". In this class you will learn about the kiln process, glazes, and how to customize the color and design of your pieces. The "Paint Your Own Pottery" session can be scheduled anytime after 3 days of this class.

1. Our Wheel Throwing classes are very messy. Especially for newcomers. We highly suggest wearing clothes that you can get dirty. Or bring an oversize shirt to wear over the clothes you are currently wearing. We do provide cloth aprons as well as plastic disposable aprons, which are on sale for 1$ at check-in. We accept cash app, Zelle or cash.

2. If you would like to have your own bucket to wash your hands of clay. Please feel free to bring a small plastic container. Otherwise, we do have public wash bins and individual sinks with soap and water after using the public wash to remove the clay from your hands. Most people do not have an issue with this. However, please feel free to bring your own bucket if you do.

The glazing process for ceramic classes 

When you make your piece you will be sent home with it. You can bring a small box for your creation or we will send you back with a small plate to carry your piece on. We do not guarantee boxes will be available. If you leave your piece with us we will paint your piece and fire it for you. It will be ready for pick up three weeks after you leave it with us. We will NOT call you to let you know when it’s done. It will be done after three weeks and you can stop by during studio hours for pick up

This session is perfect for beginners itching to unleash their inner artist. You'll learn the nitty-gritty of clay preparation, centering it on the wheel, tool preparation and the basics of making a small bowl!  No experience? No problem! Everyone's invited to join the pottery party!

This class includes all the tools and instruction needed to make a small bowl. It does not include a glazed and fired piece. This class is meant to teach you a new skill and provides instruction and the tools to do as such. By the end of the session you MIGHT have a piece that is considered Greenware. Which means you cannot eat out of this piece and it will be fragile. You can take pieces home the same day if you make one and it can be a small decorative piece for memories sake. In order to make your pieces food-safe and durable, you can register for a second session, called "Paint Your Own Pottery". The glazing process for ceramic classes 

When you make your piece you will be sent home with it. You can bring a small box for your creation or we will send you back with a small plate to carry your piece on. We do not guarantee boxes will be available. If you leave your piece with us we will paint your piece and fire it for you. It will be ready for pick up three weeks after you leave it with us. We will NOT call you to let you know when it’s done. It will be done after three weeks and you can stop by during studio hours for pick up

Welcome to Cup Creations: Wheel Throwing for Beginners! This exciting and hands-on class is designed for those who are new to pottery and eager to learn the basics of wheel throwing. In this course, you'll master the essential techniques for creating a basic cylinder, which is the foundation for making beautiful cups and mugs. Our skilled instructors will guide you through each step, from centering your clay to shaping and perfecting your cylinder. By the end of the class, you'll have the skills and confidence to start crafting your own unique pottery pieces. Join us and start your journey into the world of pottery! This Halloween, skip the messy pumpkin guts and carve your very own clay pumpkin lantern!

In this class, you’ll shape a hollow clay pumpkin, then carve fun faces, patterns, and spooky designs right into the clay. Our team will harden the outside of the clay first, giving you that perfect “carve-ready” surface—just like a pumpkin.

At Color Cocktail Factory, we believe that art should be available for everyone. That’s why our pumpkin carving class is priced at only $25 per person—the most affordable option in Chicago! This activity is perfect for large groups, families, or anyone who has never played with clay and just wants to try something new and fun this Halloween season.

When finished, your pumpkin can be bisque fired for only $5 per piece. This way, you’ll have a permanent keepsake to light up with an LED candle every year.

Get ready to dive into the wildly enjoyable world of wheel-throwing pottery!

This session is perfect for beginners itching to unleash their inner artist. You'll learn the nitty-gritty of clay preparation, centering it on the wheel, tool preparation and the basics of making a small bowl!  No experience? No problem! Everyone's invited to join the pottery party!

This class includes all the tools and instruction needed to make a small bowl. It does not include a glazed and fired piece. This class is meant to teach you a new skill and provides instruction and the tools to do as such. By the end of the session you MIGHT have a piece that is considered Greenware. Which means you cannot eat out of this piece and it will be fragile. You can take pieces home the same day if you make one and it can be a small decorative piece for memories sake. In order to make your pieces food-safe and durable, you can register for a second session, called "Paint Your Own Pottery". In this class you will learn about the kiln process, glazes, and how to customize the color and design of your pieces. The "Paint Your Own Pottery" session can be scheduled anytime after 3 days of this class. 

This class does not guarantee you will leave with a piece. We will make every effort to ensure that you leave with a piece, but it is not guaranteed. All customers will be told to take their pieces home. We will send you home with a paper plate and a paper bag if available We do not provided boxes. If you would prefer, please feel free to bring your  own box to take your pieces home. We do have options for Bisque Fire, which is five dollars apiece. The glazing process for ceramic classes 

When you make your piece you will be sent home with it. You can bring a small box for your creation or we will send you back with a small plate to carry your piece on. We do not guarantee boxes will be available. If you leave your piece with us we will paint your piece and fire it for you. It will be ready for pick up three weeks after you leave it with us. We will NOT call you to let you know when it’s done. It will be done after three weeks and you can stop by during studio hours for pick up

Unleash your creativity through the luminous art of glass fusing. In this beginner-friendly 1.5-hour class, you'll design and create a simple yet stunning square glass container using a variety of glass materials and layering techniques.

In this class, you’ll shape a hollow clay pumpkin, then carve fun faces, patterns, and spooky designs right into the clay. Our team will harden the outside of the clay first, giving you that perfect “carve-ready” surface—just like a pumpkin.

Get ready to dive into the wildly enjoyable world of wheel-throwing pottery!

This session is perfect for beginners itching to unleash their inner artist. You'll learn the nitty-gritty of clay preparation, centering it on the wheel, tool preparation and the basics of making a small bowl!  No experience? No problem! Everyone's invited to join the pottery party!

This class includes all the tools and instruction needed to make a small bowl. It does not include a glazed and fired piece. This class is meant to teach you a new skill and provides instruction and the tools to do as such. By the end of the session you MIGHT have a piece that is considered Greenware. Which means you cannot eat out of this piece and it will be fragile. You can take pieces home the same day if you make one and it can be a small decorative piece for memories sake. In order to make your pieces food-safe and durable, you can register for a second session, called "Paint Your Own Pottery". In this class you will learn about the kiln process, glazes, and how to customize the color and design of your pieces. The "Paint Your Own Pottery" session can be scheduled anytime after 3 days of this class. 

This class does not guarantee you will leave with a piece. We will make every effort to ensure that you leave with a piece, but it is not guaranteed. All customers will be told to take their pieces home. We will send you home with a paper plate and a paper bag if available We do not provided boxes. If you would prefer, please feel free to bring your  own box to take your pieces home. We do have options for Bisque Fire, which is five dollars apiece. Or we can glaze your piece starting at $10 each.

When you make your piece you will be sent home with it. You can bring a small box for your creation or we will send you back with a small plate to carry your piece on. We do not guarantee boxes will be available. If you leave your piece with us we will paint your piece and fire it for you. It will be ready for pick up three weeks after you leave it with us. We will NOT call you to let you know when it’s done. It will be done after three weeks and you can stop by during studio hours for pick up

🎨 What to Expect: Ceramics & Glazing Process

After your ceramic piece is made, you’ll take it home with you.

• You’re welcome to bring a small box for transport.
• If you don’t have one, we’ll give you a small plate to carry it on (boxes not guaranteed).

If you choose to leave your piece with us:

• We’ll glaze and fire it for you.
• It will be ready for pickup 3 weeks later — no phone call or reminder will be sent.
• You can pick it up during studio hours.

2. If you would like to have your own bucket to wash your hands of clay. Please feel free to bring a small plastic container. Otherwise, we do have public wash bins and individual sinks with soap and water after using the public wash to remove the clay from your hands. Most people do not have an issue with this. The glazing process for ceramic classes 

When you make your piece you will be sent home with it. You can bring a small box for your creation or we will send you back with a small plate to carry your piece on. We do not guarantee boxes will be available. If you leave your piece with us we will paint your piece and fire it for you. It will be ready for pick up three weeks after you leave it with us. We will NOT call you to let you know when it’s done. It will be done after three weeks and you can stop by during studio hours for pick up

Get ready to dive into the wildly enjoyable world of wheel-throwing pottery!

This session is perfect for beginners itching to unleash their inner artist. You'll learn the nitty-gritty of clay preparation, centering it on the wheel, tool preparation and the basics of making a small bowl!  No experience? No problem! Everyone's invited to join the pottery party!

This class includes all the tools and instruction needed to make a small bowl. It does not include a glazed and fired piece. This class is meant to teach you a new skill and provides instruction and the tools to do as such. By the end of the session you MIGHT have a piece that is considered Greenware. Which means you cannot eat out of this piece and it will be fragile. You can take pieces home the same day if you make one and it can be a small decorative piece for memories sake. In order to make your pieces food-safe and durable, you can register for a second session, called "Paint Your Own Pottery". In this class you will learn about the kiln process, glazes, and how to customize the color and design of your pieces. The "Paint Your Own Pottery" session can be scheduled anytime after 3 days of this class.

1. Our Wheel Throwing classes are very messy. Especially for newcomers. We highly suggest wearing clothes that you can get dirty. Or bring an oversize shirt to wear over the clothes you are currently wearing. We do provide cloth aprons as well as plastic disposable aprons, which are on sale for 1$ at check-in. We accept cash app, Zelle or cash.

2. If you would like to have your own bucket to wash your hands of clay. Please feel free to bring a small plastic container. Otherwise, we do have public wash bins and individual sinks with soap and water after using the public wash to remove the clay from your hands. Most people do not have an issue with this. However, please feel free to bring your own bucket if you do.

When you make your piece you will be sent home with it. You can bring a small box for your creation or we will send you back with a small plate to carry your piece on. We do not guarantee boxes will be available. If you leave your piece with us we will paint your piece and fire it for you. It will be ready for pick up three weeks after you leave it with us. We will NOT call you to let you know when it’s done. It will be done after three weeks and you can stop by during studio hours for pick up

Each hour is either 90 mins or two hours. Depending on the class schedule. If you refuse to leave within the given time your class is to end we hold every right to charge your account the studio fee of 50$ an hour per person. Please keep in mind there are other classes that occur after yours and other people that want to experience their classes as well. Thank you 

Lastly, we do not have coat racks. Everything you bring will have to either be hung on the back of your seat or place under your chair we will not provide tables for storage.

Get ready to dive into the wildly enjoyable world of wheel-throwing pottery!

This session is perfect for beginners itching to unleash their inner artist. You'll learn the nitty-gritty of clay preparation, centering it on the wheel, tool preparation and the basics of making a small bowl!  No experience? No problem! Everyone's invited to join the pottery party!

This class includes all the tools and instruction needed to make a small bowl. It does not include a glazed and fired piece. This class is meant to teach you a new skill and provides instruction and the tools to do as such. By the end of the session you MIGHT have a piece that is considered Greenware. Which means you cannot eat out of this piece and it will be fragile. You can take pieces home the same day if you make one and it can be a small decorative piece for memories sake. In order to make your pieces food-safe and durable, you can register for a second session, called "Paint Your Own Pottery". In this class you will learn about the kiln process, glazes, and how to customize the color and design of your pieces. The "Paint Your Own Pottery" session can be scheduled anytime after 3 days of this class.

The glazing process for ceramic classes 

When you make your piece you will be sent home with it. You can bring a small box for your creation or we will send you back with a small plate to carry your piece on. We do not guarantee boxes will be available. If you leave your piece with us we will paint your piece and fire it for you. It will be ready for pick up three weeks after you leave it with us. We will NOT call you to let you know when it’s done. It will be done after three weeks and you can stop by during studio hours for pick up

Each class is either 90 mins or two hours. Depending on the class schedule. If you refuse to leave within the given time your class is to end we hold every right to charge your account the studio fee of 50$ an hour per person. Please keep in mind there are other classes that occur after yours and other people that want to experience their classes as well. Thank you 

Lastly, we do not have coat racks. Everything you bring will have to either be hung on the back of your seat or place under your chair we will not provide tables for storage.

Just bring a picture of what you want to make, and we'll guide you through the process. Each person gets two pounds of clay to work with, and if you need more, additional clay can be purchased at $5 per pound. Look into a private lesson class. If you do not feel comfortable being in a space with a lot of people, please feel free to message me and I will move your class to a different time or date for you. Or bring an oversize shirt to wear over the clothes you are currently wearing. We do provide cloth aprons as well as plastic disposable aprons, which are on sale for 1$ at check-in. We accept cash app, Zelle or cash.

2. If you would like to have your own bucket to wash your hands of clay. Please feel free to bring a small plastic container. Otherwise, we do have public wash bins and individual sinks with soap and water after using the public wash to remove the clay from your hands. Most people do not have an issue with this. However, please feel free to bring your own bucket if you do.

3. Apparently, Google maps has been leading people to the old location. Our new studio is right next to Bobijoa Korean Kitchen. And across the street from Chicago Tattoo.

Get ready to dive into the wildly enjoyable world of wheel-throwing pottery!

This session is perfect for beginners itching to unleash their inner artist. You'll learn the nitty-gritty of clay preparation, centering it on the wheel, tool preparation and the basics of making a small bowl!  No experience? No problem! Everyone's invited to join the pottery party!

This class includes all the tools and instruction needed to make a small bowl. It does not include a glazed and fired piece. This class is meant to teach you a new skill and provides instruction and the tools to do as such. By the end of the session you MIGHT have a piece that is considered Greenware. Which means you cannot eat out of this piece and it will be fragile. You can take pieces home the same day if you make one and it can be a small decorative piece for memories sake. In order to make your pieces food-safe and durable, you can register for a second session, called "Paint Your Own Pottery". In this class you will learn about the kiln process, glazes, and how to customize the color and design of your pieces. The "Paint Your Own Pottery" session can be scheduled anytime after 3 days of this class.
