Jr. Chef Cooking Camp
 

This program is offered twice during the summer with each week-long series covering the fundamentals of the culinary world. Classes will not repeat recipes, only reinforce concepts. Students may take one session or both; however students must attend Monday through Friday. If your kids are interested in attending professional culinary school or becoming a chef, this is a wonderful preparatory program for them; we recommend that they take both sessions. Ages 8 and up, please.

All classes are taught by our patient, professionally-trained chefs.

Please give us a heads up if your child needs special assistance.

Class content will include:

 

* Knife Skills, Kitchen Organization, Tools & Equipment, Reading Recipes, Measuring Ingredients, Egg Cookery, Salad Dressings, Mayonnaise

*Herbs and Spices, Soups, Stocks, Sauces, Food Storage

*Braising, Poaching, Homemade Pasta

*Baking Desserts, Working with Chocolate, Sautéing, Deglazing, Broiling, Frying

*Grilling, Roasting and Bread Baking (including Pizza, Calzones and Focaccia)


This is a 5 day session with 3 hours each day.
