Connecting Art with Community - a Special Crafting Day to Support the CT Cat Connection in Windsor
$5 Donation - ALL donations go directly to the CT Cat Connection
Connecticut Art School is excited to help support the Connecticut Cat Connection in Windsor. CT Cat Connection is a non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing cats and helping cats find forever homes. They operate with a dedicated team of volunteers and support from the community.
We started our school year with many of the classes drawing cats - cats with hats. Now we are making the connection with art and community by organizing a food and toy drive for the cats and we have a special event planned.
On January 20, 2018 from 1:30-3:30 pm we are having a Cat Crafting Day!! For just a $5 donation you can come to our studio (1726 Ellington Road) and help us make no sew blankets and cat toys to donate to CT Cat Connection. Everyone is welcome - bring your friends, parents, grandparents. It’s a chance to get out of the cold and have some fun. We’re hoping to make 48 blankets! Parents can drop kids off or stay with them to help.
We are also collecting food and cat toy donations
at the school and studio. The cats prefer Friskies canned food or Purina dry food (it’s easier for the volunteers if they can keep the food the same).
