"We are a nonprofit organization that promotes the equality of beauty among children and adults of all different abilities. We hold a pageant for people with special needs without the obstacle of competition. Each child is celebrated for the sweet spirit they are. They are given a day of celebrity treatment. We have a beauty boutique that takes care of hair/makeup (if necessary) professional photographers, they are given their time to shine on stage and then each contestant is crowned the winner and given a crown, medal, sash, goodie bag, etc. It really is an amazing experience as so many of these kids would never have the chance to dress up or do this in their life in any other setting.
